Quick Norse lesson for you:
Loki is actually Odin's Blood-Brother. And he didn't technically want to leave Asgard, he ended up getting in trouble for causing the death of one of the Gods, Baldr, and tried running off- though he was eventually caught and chained to a rock.
"I simply wished to ask which version of it he had meant. It is rare someone who is indeed new to know about such myths and legends, is it not?"
I understand, and while it's rare for a newbie to come into this knowing myths, it's rarer still that one destined to be a serious magician will ask for something from an anime. Anyway I just finally understood how all these audiophiles feel about kids thinking that glee is the origin of the classics.
"Little rusty on it i am just now regetting into it. I just remember that loki was always doing his own thing"
Doing his own thing is his job. :D
He was accepted as one of the Aeser most of the time (even though no one can decide if he's a God, a Jotun, or both), and he eventually becomes blood-brother to Odin. And while I don't believe he had any sort of formal relationship with Thor, they had a lot of awesome adventures together and the way the annoy-yet-love one another does sort of remind one of family.
Glad you're to hear you're getting into the study of the Norse! Let me know if you need a nice resource.
I know very well Kyuubi's origins do not lie in Naruto. And it is true someone who is trying to become a serious magician would not ask the questions, unless they didn't know any better. Many people who end up being great magicians have fluffy roots. Most of the time its from animes or holywood making them think things are possible that are not. But indeed, I can see where you stand and I should have expressed more faith in the fact he meant the Japanese legend and not that of the anime.
"Many people who end up being great magicians have fluffy roots."
Fluffy means a person who is willfully ignorant and rejects his mistakes and continually insists that what is wrong is definitely correct . People with such an order are usually totally doomed to being a failure as a magician until they start learning properly and accepts their mistakes. But usually..this dosen't happen.
Thus most of the great magicians do not have fluffy roots at all. In this case , you are very wrong. Though it may be possible and it may have happened , more than 99 percent of the fluffy population will never achieve this
While Newbies who asks about vampire spells and all those BS are not considered as fluffy . They are simply new and are currently learning what is possible and what is not. This cannot be called a fluffy at all if they learn and accepts . Thus , your sentence should be changed to "all great magicians have newbie roots" instead.
youre right, it doesnt start in naruto, it comes from Shintoism, i dont know much and i dont trust Wiki so i need help from people i can somewhat trust like ya'll, if it helps another name for kyuubi is kitusne.
creating a psi ball is not a spell , though people post it because they jut want to contribute to the site :)
Anyway , do not feel bad , this is not a argument as of yet . It is simply a discussion . We are all happy to talk and discuss matters after all , this site can get very dull sometimes .
I think i have researched it before , when i wanted to know more of the tailed beasts n the show and how the author came up with them and i guess i eventually started pouring through it's mythology , including kitsune. But that was many years back and i forgotten all of it , so i cannot help .
It seems I was mistaken on the term "fluffy" then, my apologies. I have only seen such word on this site and have had to try to figure out the meaning for myself over the past day. What I meant was a lot of magicians end up having to deal with false belief in the beginning do to society. Typically this may end fast, but even if just for a day that falseness can be there.
As for arguing, we are not. I do not feel angry one bit, as indeed I already get bored on this website. Also, I have spent much time trying to search for websites to help you, as I am not well enough informed on the subject at hand myself and cannot teach. I have a few websites I will post below, some may have false information, I say that you further your research after reading these websites and make sure the information you read is correct.
