This is a poem I wrote for someone special in my life, but unfortunatly he no longer walks with us. So this is one I hold very dear to my heart, always.


You sail with the breeze, you shine with the sun.
The smile of a million stars lights my night sky.
You glow like the moon to guide my dark nights,
For I know you are there, shining down on me when I need the light.
For the sound of a bird rising in the morning, singing sweet words.
For your voice has slowly left my memory, all I hear is dull words of emptiness.
The pain of sorrow from your eyes can pierce my heart with no effort.
Your cries of woe still haunt my head, and I wasn’t there to ease your pain.
Lying in peace is where you remain, for you have passed without feeling my kiss.
If I could hold you once more, I would never let you go.
For you I will return, in my own time I will see you waiting at the gate for my presence.

The Father calls to us gladly,
Wanting us to join his family,
He calls to us in our dreams,
In our eyes his glory gleams,
His light shines through the day,
Granting us vision in every way,
He wills us to have this life,
He gives it to us wanting us to be free of blight,
He has brought us into the eternal fight

The night covers up the day,
It is never here to stay,
It ends with the rising sun,
And with the beginning of fun,
It tries to find a way through,
But it always ends up failing against the truth,
It can never find its way to the fruit,
It always ends up with the take,
It can never last against the wake

As the heart screams in pain,
It will always try to stay,
It will not leave ever again,
It stays till the end.

It always wants something to gain,
It wants help with surviving,
It wants to be kept in your lining.

As the heart screams in pain,
It wants to be free for a day,
It wishes can be strong but never last long,
Its days are done, the sun in gone.

If I bleed, will you stop the flow?
If I cry, will you comfort me?
If I fall down, will you sit with me?

When you look at me, can you see the hurt in my eyes?
When you touch my skin so tender, can you feel me shake?
When you leave, will you look back?

If I said I loved you, will you love me too?
If I kiss you, will you feel my love?
If I held you close, would you pull away?

If only I can be with you, but you love another.
Can you ever love me the way I knew?

My heart has never been my own, I gave it to you.
Please keep it safe.
Lock it away so no one knows how much I love you.
I will only allow one to break it, thats you.
Just hold my heart until the end.

The Darkness spreads its awful hands,
It reaches toward you and to your end,
It finds you and pulls,
Dragging you away from light,
Its pull is too strong you cant break free,
You fear this is for eternity

Each day you wake up with a frown
Rumours keep spreading around town
That you’re suffering a mental breakdown

A solitary walk you walk
A lonely talk you talk
As you wander as a lonely

You wander as a lonely at night
You wander as a lonely on sight
You wander as a lonely at day
You wander as a lonely and pray
You wander as a lonely each day

Slow down, slow down
Shut down, shut down
Shutdown the lonely before you drown

Embrace your friends with warmth
They can give you assistance
Deliver you from your lonely existence
You keep fighting love
Bending it around like a curve
With your glowering face
Reserving only a lonely place,
Halting happiness to arrive in your life

Do you ever stop to wonder?
Do you ever stop to ponder?
Are you the reason for the lonely blunders?

Slow down, slow down
Shut down, shut down
Remove from your head that lonely crown

You wander endlessly as a lonely
Searching for a spot called homely
But your face is missing that vital smile called lovely

A rose to rise
A rose to fall
A rose to conquer all
Thorns that hurt
Thorns that protect
Thorns to start what cannot be stopped
One rose to say one word
One rose to say many words
Several roses to say nothing at all

From rise to fall
From hurt to protect
A rose is a rose
That can mean many things
But all depends on you
Your interpretation
Your perspective
Your own heart
With its own rose
Its own thorns

The heart reaches for the light,
It fails only slight,
It tries again only to fail in the end,
It doesnt give up hope,
It will get there soon enough,
It reaches the light,
It screams in delight,
Its found its way back to its true might

When you leave what shall I say?
When you leave what shall I be?
When you leave what color shall be mine?

Light reaches from the skies above,
It reaches towards the ones I love,
Taking them away from me,
I wonder what I will be

Taking those who are so dear,
Leaving me in my fear,
