But don't let that be where you stop. That's just one of the most thorough websites I've ever known to have nearly every deity known on earth. And it is done with such humor! Not a dry read at all. But it only gives a small summary of each god/goddess. You will need to research further in books and more online searches of the specific name in question.

It generally does have their Roman/Greek counterpart names in a link. I haven't read them all, but the ones I have had them.

forgetfull 1 Zeus, poseidon and jupiter and neptune are two brothers born from chronos, only difference between them is the use of the greek name for first two names and the latin for the latter two.
Hares is the greek name for Mars (latin).
Zeus is "the boss", but the importance of the olympic deities depends on the tradition you're referring to. For example in the city of Athens Athena was considered "more" important then poseidon because she was adopted as patroness, but by all means poseidon is Athena's uncle (she was born from a zeus' headache).
In Rome, instead the "more important" deities of the public cult were Zeus,Junone, and Minerva, called the Capitoline triade and those gods are none then Zeus, Hera (his wife) and Athena, using the greek names.
Keep on researching, classical mithology is really fascinating.

just noticed that forgetfull 1 wrote *hades*, not hares. Sorry =)
Hades is brother of zeus and poseidon and Pluto is the latin counterpart for Hades, even though pluto has some different connotations as he takes care not only of dead, but of people wealth as well.
Hades is a term that can be used to refer to hell, not the christian concept(!) but as the place under earth where the dead go.
