Whether their striking a Baphomet pose, or turning a Muslim into dust in Egyption times centurys before the Quran was even written or their favourite one selling ones soul to the Devil for fame and fortune. They think their Gods themselves and sadly people oblige.
Mostly bull and fluff with relatively few exceptions, a example of this would be if I wanted to I could start a new pop culture paganism that worships my dog and Chuck Norris and says that if you try hard enough you can make the sky the ground, and that would still be batter than most of them

And Jesus, Lao Tzu, Perseus, and Siddharthawere believed to be or achieve a "godly" status as were countless others throughout time. Even in the Torah, Moses parted the Red Sea and he wasn't even supposed to be one with a higher spirit. He was a murderer! And he continued to kill with power too. Babies yet! And he is honored. The term god is man made and people conceive it and apply it differently. People think the movies are silly yet believe every single word of myth and legend just because its "ancient" when those stories were the movie equivalent of ancient times. They were probably acted out for those to visually understand. Many were also most probably "made up" too. We just have no proof of it either way and we never will.

Ever since I was a boy I have been amused by Moses "parting the Red Sea". As this was before the Suez Canal he could have walked across! He wrote that story himself, for two reasons. To "prove" that his God was "all powerful"; and to "prove" that the Hebrews were driven out of Egypt.(They were not!).
Nice story. Totally untrue!
People rarely find us until they take an interest in the character Thor from the Avengers or some other Pop culture influence. I believe many of their practices are good yet like all there are the ones who are just nuts.
It's out of my hands what people do with the shows and movies I enjoy. If some kid wants to be some Tom Hiddleston worshipping Harry Potter wannabe, I don't really care...as long as they stay away from me.
I was not allowed Thor comics once my Christian parents realized I was praying to Odin at church instead of Abrahams God. That memory amuses and saddens me. I was fortunate to grow up on an Army Post so the library even in the 70s had real history of religions section due to a mix of beliefs on post. Star Wars Jedi cults crack me up. I use to play Jedi too but learned from reading real books what was and was not real.
Though it bothers me whenever movies and tv shows feature Paganism is an unrealistic light, its also understandable. As a corporation they're in it for the money. As such you can't, in their minds, sell the real deal as it just isn't as entertaining as harry potter fighting lord voldemort with "real" magic. So long as they are, however little, helping put an end to the devil worshipper stupidity, I really could care less.
