We have no idea if this even happened in the first place, and electricity leaves a tingly feeling in general if there is a small enough amount. Besides, who goes to school on August 22? Last I checked, we get Summer break until atleast the 27.

Aww he was only asking if it was possible which it is. Electricity is energy and if we can control computers thinking of one specific that we all know then why on earth can't lightening give energy.

I wouldn't say it was magick personally. Actually, it's natural for those sensations to occur during storms. It wouldn't be odd at all, especially if the lightning hit the Earth. It deposits the energy into the Earth and sends it through the ground. Don't worry too much about these things.
