Safe demon work

Refer to the keys of Solomon. It has given me awesome protective circles, and teaches which demons of the goetia are somewhat safer than others to summon.

Never summon anything that you can't banish.

As I've stated previously in this thread, I heavily disagree with the notion that the Lesser Key of Solomon is a reliable demonological source.

Generally, most demons are compatible to humans and don't have reasons to be dishonest, unless maybe your history with them stretches farther than this incarnation, or some other reason, but even then, it is easier to see if they are lying than you would think. Especially when a mental connection is established.

A protective circle is better for more violent entities, and even then if they're committed enough, they can poke a hole in your bubble, drain the air out, and then just take it from there.

The circle itself has little protective purpose, and diminishes the intimacy of the experience. It is also filled to the brim with Judeo-Christian symbolism which also puts a filter on the experience that doesn't enable you to fully experience it, but leaves your mind clouded with the symbolism.

I think people get way too lost between the Solomonic approach, of worshiping god and commanding "evil" demons to do their bidding, and the Devil-Worshiping approach, of literally putting the demon on the throne of divinity, and substituting one idol for another.

ANd good things seldom come from being too far on either of those two extremes.

Be prepared and make sure a divine object is near by i.e. holy water, cross, bible. Just note if the demon sees that it might leave/hurt you.

Demons loyal to Satan probably will try to harm you or take your soul to him.
Try to find demons that are more disloyal to satan or nicer.

The only demon I ever summoned was one named Nightmare. She wasn't exactly nice the first time, but nice the second.

Demons are not necessarily evil or bad, they are actually a lot like humans as in there are good and bad ones. If you are going to summon a demon I would suggest that you go for a specific friendly one. You can find one on this site http://www.angelfire.com/empire/serpentis666/DemonNames.html
