also its there right not to teach you , if you dont have a good enough reason to learn why should i take the time to teach(beause as soon as you get revenge your just going to give up ), also the reason could go against there personal beliefs, also not everyone is expeirenced on everything so they can still try to help by posting links
Good point nox but the main problem is so little Dark magick users to begin with and some don't want to teach so it really is limited.
Some also like that teacher bond with learning magick and some learn better from it ^^

When someone says "I want to practice dark magick" it shows right there that they want to learn magick for the wrong reasons. Any magick can be used as "light" or "dark". Just desiring to learn magick to curse or hex isn't desiring to learn magick, and anyone who facilitates this would just be encouraging others to learn for the wrong reasons. Anyone who uses magick should know every way to use magick, starting with the most important--defense. To skip this and run off hexing people is going to lead to trouble. That individual will attract negative attention from both spiritual and physical forces they will not be able to defend themselves from. To think one can throw curses and get away with it without reprecussions is ignorant. One day, that person is going to throw a curse at someone who knows magick fully, and its going to whip back at them badly.
There is no specific "dark" magick. As was said "dark" and "light" is bad terminology. Any magick can be used to harm or help. To focus on harm only will end up harming yourself in the long run. And people experienced in magick will not teach this side first knowing someone is unknowledgeable. If someone was knowledgeable, they wouldn't ask in the first place, because blessing and cursing is done in identical ways, merely with opposite intentions.
Certain "darker" types can also help to heal and protect. I just call it darker because of what it uses and how most stay away. There isn't a lot of information on Necromancy or Chaos magick on here. Most of it is the basic herbs rituals and spells. Just because someone calls it darker or black dosen't mean there going to run out and curse people. If someone is new there going with the most popular term and sadly the most popular term is black and white. There are people who are more attracted to the darker types of thing that doesn't make them evil or trying to get revenge. Magick might not have a color but our brain works to group things together by our past experiences and knowledge. Plus
most who just want to curse want an instant solution and it takes much work for the darker magicks they most likely will just get over it or give up on it. Also if you look under the spells of magick what does it say? Where the world learns black magick, white magick, pagan, wiccan, and occult arts (SoM). The site is part of the problem. We can't say one thing and then advertise the other it just brings confusion.

I understand what you mean.
I have used all sides to magick, so I'm not discriminatory as some are.
Of course when people ask to learn about specific magick types, I always offer information. If it isn't my particular path (like Chaos), I'm obviously going to have limited knowledge and only offer books or nonfluffy sites.
I believe the site name is just letting people know this is a place for people of all paths. I do feel it could have been worded way better.
I was answering based off of Bane's description, explaining why people who ask for things as he worded them are given those particular answers. So of course there is more to it, but I write enough as it is, if I covered everything it would take me forever. =P
xD yeah if we try to learn it all were dead before we can use any of it. It's tough for the dark magicians because of the stigma that's stuck with it, in the real world and sometimes even here.
Well you could always find a mentor that beleives magick has no color and that it is simply a tool that could be used for good or bad. Those people will be the ones that will most likely teach you anything you want if they happen to know it / be proficient at it.
I do agree with you though, good to see someone has some common sence.
Alot of the more experienced people on the site are very busy and they are at least taking the time to point you in the right direction. Alot of us are jaded to on taking on new student because of past experience. People tend not to follow through with their assignments and then just disappear.
It takes alot of work to be a mentor and get assignment ready for your students. So why not look at it from the view of the teacher. You might get a little at first, but if you prove you want to learn, your teacher will take you more seriously, and start to teach you whole heartedly.
I think the main problem is how little dark magicians, as i call it, are even here. Most of it is the herbs, the rituals, and the healing/protection type. Hardly anything on Chaos Magick which i'm deeply surprised at seeing how Chaos Magick is like the Joker Card.
The books can also be a problem. Some people have to hide their studies and also can not even afford a book. In a world where magick is mostly viewed as a joke we need to adapt and find ways to teach without telling someone to get a book.
