You raise a very valid point magic is energy and can not be transported through blood that is very true although a baby inside a mother's womb does share the blood of the mother at first but the mother would have to practice during her pregnancy to have the child have a witch bloodline. If the mother teaches the child growing up would the baby be born a witch?
Well certain 'skills' are said to be passed down such as clairvoyance, but you can still train yourself. The power of magick is in all of us, and to be a witch is to be wise. Not every witch casts spells or believes in the divine, but they all study and apply their knowledge. In this sense, you are not born a witch, it is a choice you make, and the effort you put into it.
There is much learning to do in the art of witchcraft so much so that nobody can master it and in my opinion it's just silly that some people think that you have to be born from witches bloodline to be a witch just having that would call for so much presicion a pregnant woman's energy is drained just from creating a baby I know that if I had practiced while I was pregnant there is no way I would have been able to do anything right
The closest I have seen to being born into it is one person in my family of each generation just ends up practicing magick and that still could just be coincedental
My family don't practice but as a child i always had a really strong spiritual side and when I discovered witchcraft.. i don't know how to say this but it felt like i had been practising my whole life, im always learning but there were things i already knew how to do before discovering witchcraft, i just didn't know what to call them... i use to read peoples Aura's and see their past lives. I 'shifted' in my dream into a fox and i found my familiar when i was 8.. Im not a fraud and im not making this up to sound special..
I was born into witchcraft, but my mother does not practice. You can be a witch without being born into it, but from my an old witch told me you should do a Seance in order to make your magic work.
I have skills that have been passes down, intuition, clairvoyance, I can see spirits, among other things. Other witches have told my mother that she is a very powerful white witch, it is in our family line but somewhere along the line they stopped practicing. But it definitely ties to blood, but that does not mean you can only practice by having it in your blood-but I think it does make you start off more powerful in some ways, plus having psychic abilities really helps with magic.
My parents were divorced. One household practiced, the other was highly Christian. I learned a lot growing up, but that had nothing to do with my being a "witch". I had the chance to find my own path. And I have continued growing and learning everyday. Parlty from this site, and partly from the people I have met here over the years.
Witchcraft is not what most people think. It is not at all what you see on TV where you are born a witch and that's just who you are. You can be born into a family that practices and still never feel the need to yourself.
Witchcraft is learned. And the more you study, the more you will understand that.
