Extremely interesting suggestions I would love to know more. This is exactly why I am here. I would really appreciate learning more about who and what guides me. There are some fascinating ideas and I'm not feeling confused but curious :)

Angels, to me, can be extremely chatty and repetitive, persistent! Often providing visual support or other physical signs that they are listening to me or working on something or even when they are trying to tell me something new. Communication can at first just be a gentle suggestion or question or worry in thought or out loud, and in return it can be as simple as feeling an emotion or a certain word or phrase or person etc will come to mind and other things connected to that issue will be clearer or sometimes just plainly told to me. Usually I will turn to my cards for bigger questions or problems or just to keep informed of anything that I might need to know. Even when using cards I can't fault them, I have been guilty of rejecting answers, trying again for the answer I'd prefer - sometimes I get something extra that still relates and other times (most times) I get either the same card or cards again or one telling to listen and leave off!

I read something in the chat section today - a question about knowing if 'this' is all real (this meaning Magik of any kind). There was a great answer that really hit home and has made me feel less guilty about testing angels or anything, getting the proof and still needing more. The answer was basically to keep testing until you know. I have tested them on so many occasions that they went a bit ott to get me here and I'm glad they did and so are they :)

They are definitely not what one would expect. I believe those with heavy UPG involving "angels" are the ones with strong expectations. Those like us that approach spirits with a questioning yet open mind get the full mosaic culture clash. This and that from here and there creates the way they relate to us. And the more complex and worldwide they are, the more confusing the symbolism gets as you work with them more. I believe they adapted to us and not the other way around. Perhaps they were like the books say in ancient times. Perhaps they only acted that way because they were expected to. We will never know, unless of course we ask them and they actually answer.

You're lucky they proved through money. My workings with spirits end up proving by giving me puzzles with sentences in different languages and symbols that I would never be able to guess on my own. Can we trade? You can work on translating Greek, Gaelic, and Sanskirt while I collect. LOL!

Thank you all of you for expressing your opinion. As Hecate95 wrote none of us can claim that what he/she believes is "right" and that all the other opinions are "wrong".

Angels are associated with the Sepiroth, Demons with the Qlippoth. These are different "energy spheres" a magician can attune to to bring about certain changes with their own planetary correspondences. Demons and Angels can be both nice and mean, so show them respect. In the words of Michael Ford: Good and evil are a matter of opinion.

The concepts of demons, incubi, succubi, and angels are deeply embedded in religious, mythological, and esoteric traditions across multiple cultures. These entities have been perceived through various lenses, ranging from theological doctrines to psychological interpretations and occult practices. Below is a comprehensive exploration of their historical origins, functions, and differing perspectives.

---

### **Demons: Origins, Nature, and Interpretations**
The term "demon" originates from the Greek *daimon* (), meaning a spirit or divine power, which was originally neutral rather than inherently evil. Over time, especially through the influence of Christian theology, demons became synonymous with malevolent entities associated with Satan or the forces of darkness.

#### **Theological Perspectives:**
- **Christianity:** In Christian doctrine, demons are typically considered fallen angels who rebelled against God under Lucifer (later identified as Satan). They are believed to tempt, deceive, and corrupt humanity, aiming to sever the connection between the divine and mankind.
- **Islam:** Islamic teachings describe demons (*jinn*, specifically *shayatn*) as beings made from smokeless fire, distinct from both humans and angels. Some are benevolent, while others, particularly those aligned with Iblis, are malevolent.
- **Judaism:** In Kabbalistic thought, demons (*shedim*) are chaotic spiritual forces that exist outside divine order. Some traditions depict them as remnants of primordial creation, while others see them as disobedient spiritual entities.
- **Pagan and Occult Traditions:** Many pre-Christian religions viewed certain spirits as neither good nor evil but as forces of nature. Some modern occult traditions engage with demons as powerful intelligences that can be worked with rather than opposed.

#### **Psychological and Occult Interpretations:**
- **Carl Jung's Perspective:** Demons may represent the shadow aspects of the psyche—repressed desires, fears, or traumatic experiences manifesting symbolically.
- **Occult Practices:** Some traditions, such as demonology in ceremonial magic (e.g., *The Lesser Key of Solomon*), approach demons as entities that can be invoked and controlled for esoteric knowledge or personal empowerment.

---

### **Incubi and Succubi: Sexual Spirits and Their Evolution**
Incubi and succubi are specific classifications of demons associated with nocturnal visitations and sexual encounters. Their origins and descriptions vary across cultures.

#### **Historical Accounts and Beliefs:**
- **Medieval Christianity:** Incubi (male) and succubi (female) were said to seduce humans in their sleep, extracting life energy or corrupting souls. Some texts suggest they were responsible for unnatural pregnancies or ailments.
- **Mesopotamian Mythology:** *Lilu* and *Lilitu* (linked to Lilith) were believed to be early precursors of succubi, preying on men and newborn children.
- **Gnostic and Occult Traditions:** Some esoteric schools propose that these entities are astral beings that feed on sexual energy (*prana* or *chi*), either involuntarily or through deliberate interaction.

#### **Modern Psychological Interpretations:**
- **Sleep Paralysis Theory:** Many alleged encounters with incubi and succubi align with hypnagogic hallucinations, a state between sleep and wakefulness where the mind perceives vivid, sometimes terrifying imagery.
- **Energy Work and Esotericism:** In tantric and occult traditions, sexual energy is considered potent and can attract entities or manifest in psychic experiences.

---

### **Angels: Messengers, Protectors, and Divine Beings**
Angels are widely recognized across religious traditions as divine messengers and intermediaries between the spiritual and material realms. Their attributes and roles vary by belief system.

#### **Abrahamic Traditions:**
- **Christianity:** Angels are celestial beings serving God, categorized into various orders (*choirs of angels*) such as seraphim, cherubim, and archangels (e.g., Michael, Gabriel). They act as protectors, guides, and warriors against demonic forces.
- **Islam:** Islamic teachings describe angels (*mala'ika*) as beings of pure light, with specific roles such as recording human deeds, delivering divine messages, and overseeing natural phenomena.
- **Judaism:** The Jewish mystical tradition (Kabbalah) identifies angels as emanations of divine energy, each associated with specific attributes and tasks, such as Raphael (healing) or Metatron (divine presence).

#### **Occult and Esoteric Views:**
- **Theosophy and New Age Thought:** Some modern spiritual traditions regard angels as non-denominational entities of higher consciousness that can be contacted through meditation or ritual.
- **Ceremonial Magic:** In practices like the *Enochian Magic* system, angels are invoked for divine wisdom and protection.

---

The existence and nature of demons, incubi, succubi, and angels are subject to personal belief and interpretation. Some view them as literal beings, while others consider them psychological constructs, symbols of the unconscious, or manifestations of energy dynamics. Regardless of perspective, these entities remain deeply influential in spiritual traditions, folklore, and human consciousness.

Would you like further exploration into historical texts, rituals, or modern occult practices regarding these entities?
