Rowan, you are an ecclectic lady of the craft, you also use some chaos concepts in the form of taking things that work and putting them together. What is in a title, in a name, if i've learnt anything in the past month or two it is that if you do not lable yourself as something you do not have to fit into anyones little boxes, but once you lable yourself everyone else lables you too and thus you force yourself to bend to the will of others mind, and that is never in a position that you want to be.
So what are you, to me you are the nice ol Sage lady on the site who's opinions at times differ from mine but that helps the younger kids find their footing.
Rowan, you are who you are, not what you are called. From what I have read, and seen from your posts, is that you are a kind woman with a gentle heart. With or without the label "Wiccan" you will STILL be a kind woman with a gentle heart. I know we may have not be in agreement in most things, but I still feel glad that we have met.
I agree with what everyone else has said on here.
I don't belong to any type of religion and I'm perfectly happy where I am in the sense of things and my beliefs don't effect what I practice or study.
Be who you want to be, and continue doing what you feel the most comfortable with.
Don't let anyone tell you any different, if you're happy calling yourself a Wiccan, then do so.
If true Wiccan's are offended by it, then that's their problem and not yours.
Remember, religions are evolving all the time along with everything else in this world.
If people stick to the same rules of their religion, the religion would not evolve and new ones would not come into place.

Rowen, are truely a remarkable women who uses her insight, iam very much the same as u in the fact i practise the sabbat rites but i walk my own path and if i was to put a title i would say iam one with nature, and u call urself whatever feels right to u xx
You are in the same place as me as I am a solitary too! Be happy with who you are and don't let others make you feel like you can't call yourself Wiccan.
I guess that all my life I have been an organised person. I was a Catholic for most of my younger life and I feel 'comfortable' belonging to something. I am also someone who likes things to be just right, I am never late for anything, my house is always clean and tidy and I guess it flows over into my spiritual world. Belonging has been important to me.
BUT.... I am now seeing where this is not a good thing in some ways and what is happening now is all a part of my growing process. I have spent a lot of time in meditation and prayer over the whole 'Wiccan' episode and was so caught off guard by my reactions to it. And I know that when I react so violently there is usually a reason underneath and maybe the reason is that it is time to move on in my spiritual path and be just me.
So thank you all for being there for me at this very difficult time - I am so blessed to have you all as friends.
Dear Rowan,
I think your original expressed distress has led you down a very profound road. Labels are something we all, at one time or another, have taken comfort in and help us self-identify. Rare is the person who examines these labels and dares to cast them aside.
Back when i identified with Pagan lifestyle, theology, and dogma, i called myself an Earth Spiritualist, a title which i think is elegant and apt.
