I would refer you to Mushashi's The Book of Five Rings, which has a chapter on "Void," which Mushashi considered an element along with earth, wind, rain, and fire.

But I doubt you would be able to see what he was really saying.

Found some more then the whole thing.
But there is nothing to understand. Befor you know it all. Then nothing is to understand;) he he.
And vica versa.
Both and non. (and so on)

yould have to read all '5 books' then you might get to this point I supose:)
and then read it to you know it. Studdy it. And 'folow' it.

Then you might get to the nothingness. (void)
:)

the book of the no-thing is very similar to the principle of correspondence in hermetics, from what i understand. i havent read it but have had a discussion with someone in which they cited it. the idea that you can use the known to understand the unknown. also in hermetics the number zero, the no-thing, the serpent which eats its own tail, is the divine all which emanates reality. it is both nothing and everything.

i will read it now

Well, the other thing about The Book of Five Rings is that it is about a great deal more than just budo.

It's just that one has to read the text on multiple levels to understand that.

Just as a reference, void is not nothingness, rather it is a emptyness.
The concept Flash mentioned originally for using void to teleport is valid, however one wouldn't use void, rather one would use the physical nothingness in which all of reality is suspended, theoretically speaking of course. Also, physical nothingness is that which planets form in, so once again the idea of creating and popping it through is good, but once again, relates to physical nothingness.
For those who struggle to grasp void as opposed to nothingness i give this, when one touches nothingness one feels dark and heavyness, yet solid, if one touches void it feels draining, most people who touch void in the wrong manner ends up in various states of depression.
