Supposedly all this means that he taught them how to protect themselves from the forces of tumah such as demons. This is referred to as "the name of tumah" because by knowing the names of theses negative energies they would be able to instruct them to do their will and remove them.
Is this out like some say, are people actually aware or have this information, names etc?
I found these online but have none at the moment:

Im trying to find what is legal within jewish halacha, its clear that in Judaism we believe anything outside our covenant is pagan and comes with risks, jews will do anything as long as the eternal wills it., anything for oneself to gain is outside and alien, but im asking around to learn what in the talmuds is permissible.
[quote] There is so much stuff out there about this. Qabala being most prevalent.
6th-7th Books of Moses, Greater/Lesser Keys of Solomon.
So much to dig through if youre really interested.
Is there anymore new labels of magic that I'm unaware of? I don't understand what 'Jewish' has in common with 'Magic'? Jewish, isn't it an adjective describing a person which follows a faith of Judaism? Whereas Magic is a practice? Can someone help me understand this?
This is similar to saying Vodou Magic. It doesn't exactly go together.
Well base dont the Babylonian Talmud, magic comes from maggies and anything performed in one owns interests as gain is forbidden and sorcery,
In other words its ok for healing and protection to read a torah, put teffilin on or invoke a Golem as long as the Eternal wills it but anyone else doing this and more is put to death as a witch or sorcerer based on the first commandment.
So the rules which apply to determine if something is permissible or not are very vague, the Babylonian talmud does mention allot of rituals and rules but also based on those times.
that is correct, Magic according to Judaism is what people do outside Judaism, with out Hashem.
What i was asking is what is within Judaism, ritually, besides Shabbat, 613 mitzvots i found many Sephardic families still using the Bowls with the names of their relatives and a prayer, olive oil to detect an evil eye, rituals to remove any curses when no mikvah is available, even making their own home made mikvah.
since i posted this question i have come across many rituals which involve the psalms, amulets and shofers to write them but most of them seem to be by judeo christians, basically christians who are ok with judaism but not jewish..
the same applied to books on the net claiming they teach kabbalistic magic., funny things like taking the wine and wax after havdalah and putting it in your pocket will bring gambling luck lol, anything goes its good with me, cute.
What i want to know more about is rituals involving the prayers of jacob and other patriots, some people use olive oil while praying then smear it on their faces.
