In the Christian bible God is referred to as a man only because of what was considered proper literature back then; if you do not know the gender of someone then he/she is listed as a man until the gender becomes known. Fortunately, we grew out of that ignorance and now list the unknown as he/she making room for either possibility thus avoiding being potentially insulting. Furthermore, God himself is a being of pure energy so regardless of whether you do or do not believe in him he is actually neither male nor female, just like our souls/spirits.
I think that we just need to grow up some more here. No matter what you believe in or think about, your right in your own little way. There is no way that every single last person in the world is going to believe in god or the bible. The bible to me is just bull because you never do know if over all those years people could just rewrite the bible in their own little way or add some kind of quote. You never do know and you may never will. God is all kinds of things, that is what we think. A few think he or she (since you guys had a fight over that) is everything and everywhere... And a few think he or she doesn't exist.
My point is that no matter what you say or who you are, you can not be right to everyone about this kind of religion. Just like the satanic, you never do know who the person is, all you do think about is that they worship Lucifer. Now if you do think about who they are then good for you. Just remember, no matter what religion you are in... You just human just like the next person. We all have ideas and read about others ideas. Just be happy that you know about those ideas and if others are willing to hear you out, then their is your chance.
I would just like to point out one of my old friends and mine philosophies that we came up with during our off hours when we were in highschool:
"How do we know that God and Satan hate eachother? they say that it went bad in some unholy war, but we are mere humans. what could we truly know of what happened in the angelic world when earth first started. whe have only been keeping history for just over 5 thousand years. We dont know what really happened, for all we know the 'war' was made up by catholics(no offence, he was one)to make the pesents fear and not sin. For all we know, because satan was gods 'right hand man' he gave him the most importaint mission of all, to take in the souls of those who are lost and or truly evil at heart, and fix them, let them redeam themselves befor entering heaven. alot like school. you graduate you get to go out into life I.E heaven yet of your bad you get heald back, but you still have a chance to graduate later I.E hell. so in my opinion d and satan do not hate eachother, they are still very much friends and god still loves lucifer"
I believe this is a good outlook on it. plus many forms of satanism, your not actually worshiping satan, its about self worship, you put yourself above all others.
Actually Azil, you're talking about LaVeyan Satanism, or more correctly, simply LaVeyanism. In theistic/spiritual Satanism, the entity known as Satan is worshipped, but not in the sense of the Christian devil. They also believe Satan to be the oldest god, having many names (Enki, Ea, Lucifer).
Littered in the texts of our enemies and through many years lies have been spread about "Satan", he was called a deceiver, a liar and labelled as evil, he was given the image of a rubbery red skinned abomination, all of this was done to push people away from the truth, what better way to keep peoples ears shut by claiming this sort of thing, if people think you lie they don't listen, if people think you are evil they stay away, this way the enemy did not have to hide the existence of "Satan" to do the damage, instead of covering it up they spread lies and ruined the reputation of a wonderful being.
Satan was the name used to lump many old gods together as but the singular focal point is a being also known as Lucifer - the Morning Star
Melek Ta'us
in Samaria as Enki - Master of the Earth, Ea - Bringer of Knowledge
in Egypt as Ptah - The Creator
and in many other cultures branching from Celtic, Nordic and Greek all the way back to the original human settlements.
