This post is here for those who don't know that things like this isn't real. No one is complaining, we are just discussing it and by doing so, providing info for those who are misinformed.
But I do understand what you mean by teaching them the difference. Though this always presents the same problem: The reality of the situation is not as fun as the lie they want to perpetuate. I dislike Twilight immensely, but I have to admit that a young, handsome vampire with a beautiful voice (listen to Robert Pattinson singing... O.M.G.) who is insanely devoted to a girl, and he battles werewolves and all this exciting drama is much more appealing than just sapping energy from people or drinking blood. This is my opinion as an outsider to both cultures.
Give me Louis (Interview with the Vampire) over stinky Edward any day :3
You know what's ruining the occult? IDIOTS!!!
If it wasn't twilight and harry potter, it would be teenage goths and emos. Yes, roleplayers are annoying, but so are prats.
You know what got me into magick? Fairytales. I wanted to be like the villains, so powerful and cool, they didn't take crap from anybody. When they went down, they went down in flames. How is me at seven trying to be like the evil witch any different from a kid trying to be like Harry Potter?
The fact is, yes, some of the people need shooting, but don't blame the books. It wasn't the authors intentions to get people into the occult and piss you lot off. If the people are bugging you, just stop talking to them.
*glabces at the post above* Well you could have certinly worded it better. Now on another note i personally dont think it ruined occult persay but i do humbley believe it did ruin a good genre of movies and books.
Sorry to say but they're some of the most famous and popular modern book series for a reason. A lot of people like them. I fail to see how they ruined a good genre of literature, since fantasy and romance seem to be doing just fine.
Anybody notice how ol;d this post is? And we are still dealing with the fluffs today. Its not going to straighten out. We just have to continue to try to explain the truth and point the newbies in the right direction. Its all we can do. From there, its up to them.
I cast two spells to turn into a Twilight Vampire - they didn't work. I chanted each spell ten times as instructed. Woke up the next morning, still human.
I guess no spell can turn you into a vampire. Any advice? Any alternative suggestions?
