Summoning is an advanced use of magick. I suggest no newbie, or even beginners try to summon anything. it can be dangerous if you're not experienced enough.
Indeed summoning is an advanced act and can go wrong if you do not know what your doing and do not have strong control over that and yourself. I have worked with demons and in demonology for a very long time now. Some like the ancient Greeks think that we choose a daemon before we are born and it helps guide us down our paths.
Wanting one because you think its cool will honestly only get you into trouble as i have noticed from observation or get you nothing at all.
I would suggest that you do some research and studying on demons and their history before taking any steps forward on this. Though they arent entirely evil, they sometimes arent entirely helpful either or compliant.

I have no idea what you're talking about, Doe, in regards to summoning or anything you wrote there. And in regards to Odin, you are way off, and I recommend you read up more on him before saying things like that. I know of individuals who have gone through painful sacrifices for Odin (it's traditional to mimic his hanging from Yggdrasil) but I've never come across an experienced Odinsman or woman who has had to give an eye. That's a bit ludicrous. Bac to the original topic at hand: Neko and Bane did a good job at explaining some things.
I found a death note a week ago and I am wondering what to do with it. The only thing I know is that it works. I've tested it four times. I can't seem to get any sleep at night because of a strong feeling of an unwelcomed... guest. I don't know what to do. Is it a shinigami? I know you will probably think i'm lying but i'm not. I swear. I need help. Can anyone help me please?

I have worked with a devil before and i know some of them a little personally than any of you might have. Not all of them are a source of sinister ideas, there are some who are actually friendly to get along with while others aim is to simply twist human being around their fingers, until they cant rescue or help them-self.
All in short i will say "Don't" trust anyone blindly and research before you meet them up.

If you do understand that then you should know that roleplaying is not allowed here, if you don't know that then maybe you should look up the reality of magick.
