VEry well said Lily...the existence of us in dis world is somewhat a magic in itself....the air , the fire , d wind all r magical....the placid scenery we often c which makes us peaceful is magic ...
magic is will magic will not work if u have no will to use it or any will that requares magic. not ever one will is set by useing power so the will not all ways there
no i ment magic needs will power to atcly want to use magic for a reason but some people who lived with out magic for years will not all ways turn to it
There are many reasons that not everyone who aspires to be a practioner will be able to achieve it.
1. They may have supressed that part of themselfs for so long that no matter how hard they work at it, it will not be possible (I worked with many teachers in the pagan community that will tell you the same thing)
2. Excessive drug use, I am talking things like chemicals, coocain, acid, heroin, meth etc... These kind of things do almost irreparable damage to the brain and therefore the ability to create and push energy.
3 Knowledge, many people do not study the craft fully. They rely on one book one source to tell them all. With out growth of knowledge and understanding of the craft there can be no way to move forward.
4. Belief, many people doubt and hold doubt in their heart, if you do not fully believe that such and such will happen and focus on the outcome it will be doomed not to happen before you even begin your workings.

I think and believe that if one has the faith and belief in themselves they can do what they set their mind to. If you don't have faith and you doubt yourself then no you won't be able to do magick or anything else.
for 1.
no matter how much you suppress yourself, you can get back as long as you want to because you caused your own suppression
if you are able to suppress your own strengths,it just shows that you are even much more able to release it and harness that strength back
(in my own opinion)
for 2. i agree wholefully.
for 3. yes partly , but if you yourself already wants to learn and has the will.
knowledge is never a problem, one can never stop learning until he dies unless he himself dont wants to learn.
for 4. same as above. if you have the will and you wanna do it,you definitely would have no doubt and be able to do it but if you did have doubts, then that wouldnt be what i call strong willed at all,and everything else doesnt matter anymore because you can't do anything without believing or determination
Not everyone who tries to work with magick, or even calls themselve a practitioner will actually be sucessful.
I think a lot of it also has to do with soul growth. Some people are not meant to be doing this.
It's all fine and good to encourage people to keep trying and they can do what they put their minds to, but lets face it...magick is the same as life. Not everyone can be a CEO, some will just be flipping burgers at McDonalds.
i believe as long as you have will and belief,of course a lot more things there to be.
you can rise to be an CEO even if you were to be a beggar at first
