Yes, please do. Hardly anyone gives me any constructive feedback. Normally it is just criticism out of left field, away from the subject I worked so hard to present.
Try to close your eyes meditate a little and then just feel not with your eyes but with your heart let your sences free what is that sound. For example a dog barking... thin about it visualize it don't see just an image... hear smell.... Think... If that doesn't work try to practise with a photo look at it... look in detail then cose your eyes and make all the details in your head
I tried the methods listed here but they don`t work on me. There is just this pitch darkness. I don`t know maybe I just can`t do it maybe visualization is just not for me or my mind is sealed.
Do you ever daydream? I mean you are reading in class and, you start thinking of something else so much, that your mind shuts out the other noise in the class. That, is visualization.
Have you ever imagined that you want to be somebody, like a professional of some sort? That, is visualization.
Have you ever wanted to go somewhere, like a roadtrip, after seeing the travel channel? That, is visualization.
Start simple. Close your eyes. Think of a red apple. See the stem. turn it around with your imaginary hand. Look at the bottom of it. Look closely at the skin of the apple. The skin is not completely red in some places. Get an imaginary knife. Cut the apple in two. Step by step. This is how this is done. Step by easy step. Easy does it. Nothing hard here. Take it easy.
Well I do day dream but up to the level when I stop hearing things. I never had any images or smell or taste . I just think about it. That is all I get just the thoughts.
Just the thoughts! Dude, that's a good start. Don't trash this. Keep it up. Little by little, step by step. You will improve. You need to believe this.
Why? Because all subjects that we are meant to learn are like that. School, trade school, technical school, Military Basic Training, Military Technical School, College, University any type of instruction, lecture, training are based on these principles. Step by step. Start with the basics, and steadily improve.
I saw a cartoon about 15 years ago and it was about two buzzards on a tree, waiting for an injured animal to die, so they can fly over and eat the carcass. One Buzzard after awhile, stated in frustration, Wait s--t! I'm gonna fly over there and kill something!
Patience, Machiavelli. You'll improve.
Try simply sitting with your eyes closed.. watch your breath for a while to calm yourself.. now everything/anything that comes to your mind, think about it briefly, then let it fade back into breathing. Again hold one thought/image for a few seconds, then let it go. Eventually you will be able to hold your mind steady on one thing for as long as you want. A doorknob is an excellent starter image, It's likely your mind can easily recall/visualize something you come in contact with on a daily basis.. Don't give up!
