Ofcourse, it has been tested since it is simply energy manipulation (on of the basics). You may need to have actual love for someone to be able to use it, true love meaning you will need to use your love to be able to master this.

Okay, I'm saying that when you believe that love spells actually create love it gives you confidence. No spell can bring love.
I get what your saying but that is a little different. What your saying is it brings actual love. I'm saying to get a loved one and stating that it doesn't bring love but confidence. It is exactly like a confidence spell only on some cases more effective as it uses the desire for a loved one.

What I'm suggesting is that love spells are tools to direct energy that will possibly effect the conditions at which two subjects interact. The aim is to have the effect of increasing intimate interaction.
Which is still love magic; magic that which is used for or in relation to love.
I'm talking about it in general. When you're wanting someone to love you or join you in some kind of loving relationship, that's love magic.
Love magic like other forms of magic is used to affect reality. It's used to increase the odds in the favor of the caster. Love magic is intended to bring love whether that be reuniting with a lover or meeting someone new you are attempting to gain love in some manner. Love magic is used in many different ways.
Love magic can be more than just giving you confidence and a spell to give you confidence doesn't always classify as love magic.
Sorry for the double post but I'd also like to mention that all magic is cast to bring about change that wouldn't have otherwise been expected. That being said all magic cast has the potential to be unnatural. Love magic is love magic because it's used to bring love but you seem to think that what is potentially unnatural is not love or rather, "actual love". So I am asking you to differentiate between "love" and "actual love".
