Do you really know what fire actually is? It is "combustion", the changing of a solid into a gas.Fire does it slowly; high explosive does it instantly.
Fire can be controlled to an extent, in a fireplace, for instance. But a wild, forest fire, is something else!
Fire certainly cannot be controlled by magic!
if you wish to work with the element, there are plenty of spells that utilize fire. you cannot however control it. even if it's scientifically impossible, it's not in human nature either, and magick is a part of nature, so either way you look at it, it cannot be done.
perhaps instead of yelling at reality, or swearing to prove people wrong, you could breathe and try something else? you can still try if you really want to, but you could see this as an opportunity to grow. use fire in your spells, work candle magick, use bonfires in your circle. you could even work with fire via fire poi or various other fire related hobbies [fire eating, fire breathing, walking on hot coals] be safe and responsible, but you could connect with and work with fire. [even the avatar route there's a lot you can do such as Northern Shaolin style martial arts.]
ArroBW, what old are you? 6? Magick isn't like what hollywood portrays. Its not like the Avatar. You can't control fire! How can you prove we are wrong, if you are the only one who agrees with yourself. Face the truth!
I know you've just lost it to your emotions but proving anyone wrong or right will not change a single thing in the world. Let's say you proved us wrong. Will they give you a Nobel prize? Or honor you by calling you "the creator" of this path? No, none of them will happen. can't you see? People are giving scientific reasons and magick does not defy science. Magick is just higher science (to some people) but it is still science.
As much as we cannot defy our nature of being human, magick cannot defy its nature of being scientific. What is science? Knowledge, reality and that is exactly what magick is.
Magick says when you don't see something, it doesn't mean it's not there. Doesn't science talk about the atmosphere or air in this way? You don't see it, but you feel it. Just as the presence of energy.
Magickal energy is different than physical energy. Those two are different, which means their rules are different. For example, you cannot control fire in this plane but in the astral, you can create a cloud where it rains down fire. And neither of them will ever work on the other plane.
We live in a world where there are rules and believing in them or not will not change the fact that they're there and will always be. Technology is improving, so is science but when the time comes, not only science will defy magick but it will completely prove it. Because magick is pure science.
