Hey, I just want to say even though I am fairly new, I already know a bit about magic. I wanted to share some info for those who are also new and curious. My notes are based on some questions asked by users. :)

"Great, magic! I can have everything I have always wanted!" - No. If you do something bad, it will come back to you three times worse. Try your best not to use it for personal gain.

"Stay away from black magic, its satanic!" (haha it rhymes) - True magic is neither black nor white, it is both because nature is both. There has to be an even balance.

"Grrr, this person is really mean to me, can someone tell me a curse spell?" - Harm noone. However, this may depend on the situation. Everyone likes a bit of sweet revenge LOL.

I hope this helps a bit, if anybody wants to ask another question, I will try my best to answer. Please bear in mind that I am also new and my answers may not be 100%. :)

the threefole law is for wiccans, and you can use magick without it bitting you in the butt

I like Thelema's take on the reed. The witches reed states "an it harm none, do what thou wilt."
Thelema says "do what thou wilt shall be the whole of the law."
It should be noted that this speaks of true will, but sometimes harm is a necessity. :D

The three fold law is from the Wiccan Rede and is so true to all who practice magick. Whatever you do good or bad will always come back to you. It is also the law of Karma and it says that whatever you do will be done back to you.

I keep away from anything that may harm someone - why would I want to harm anyone?? If they have done something wrong by me they will get what they deserve - the universe will see to that, I don't need to harm they back.

I live by this law and it works for me.

You are so right BionicBec. Well done in learning this so far. If this is all you ever learn it is enough.
