Your brain works in a very simplistic way. Unfortunately the seemingly simplistic system is complicated enough to make up for the seeming simplicity. Lucky you ay ;).

Your thoughts influence your emotions which give your thoughts strength and further influence your next thoughts as well as the rapidity of your thoughts and sub conscience.

Thousands of your thoughts battle their way across your sub conscience. Only a few prevail to be part of the thoughts you recognize. The rest of the remaining thoughts become part of your sub conscience which further influences your feelings and thoughts.

It is all linked in a chain, every link influencing the other. This is a system of utter brilliance and when put to the test can be manipulated.

Manipulation

The next step is to know what you are thinking and feeling, to do this simply stop what your doing and really feel what you are feeling. Then attempt to change it by replacing it with happy emotions or etc... This can often be done by visualizing colors flooding into your body which represent certain emotions to you. This can change the progression of your thoughts, it can make you energetic when your tired and etc...
