SPELL QUESTION

Im new to all of this and i need a little help. I wanted to know do i have to do the self dedication ritual before performing spells? And i also wanted to know where do i start? I have been researching for months now and i understand some of it but not all of it.PLEASE HELP

Meditate before spellcasting. It helps a lot and can enhance your ability.
Also start with something very simple like a wind spell. Use a book of shadows to keep all of the spells you created and used in, also with records of what worked for you and what did not.
