It is possible to control elements, for example I practice pyrokenesis, which is controlling fire. It takes time and a lot of practice but it is possible.

i never summon water and it always acts odd around me

Lighting a match makes fire, and lighters...and Combustable things...and Flint...and Bombs....And Johny Sparks....and....these are probally the most useful things to get fire, Pyro. Id go with Lighters instead of Flint...
