WHY BLACK CATS?

why does every witch and wizard have a black cat, plane black and no other colour?

I have had many different coloured pets not just black ones. It is one of those myths that got started up many years ago that is not true.

It is the same with many people think black cats are bad luck but at the same time many think they are good luck. There is no proof behind either being right or wrong.

This is one of the Christian myths. That every witch has a "familiar"; usually a cat. Because cats were always thought to be a bit "mysterious". A dog will show by its behaviour that " he loves you". A cat couldn't care less!

I didn't say it was only a Christian myth. I said it was one of them. To the ancient Egyptians cats were sacred! There is great comfort in keeping a cat, or any other pet. However, a dog, for instance will very often show his/her "feeling". But there is always something a bit mysterious about a cat. I have had many cats. I could never fathom out what they were thinking! Or if they were thinking at all! They always seemed to have that "air" about them as though they were saying to themselves, "You humans don't know anything!" Very aloof animals, cats!

I love all the cats, and I have 3 black cats :D

My black kitty Lilly is not amused by this post in the least.
