I've always felt a connection with magick but I never knew how to work with it. I am hoping that learning and practicing magick will help to get rid of this feeling that there is something trapped in me that's longing to be set free.
me too. I really hope you ignore the fighting on every forum. they are all very immature like fourteen and younger just trying to make everyone mad or whatever.
i know exactly what feeling your talking about. i too got the brilliant idea to go on the internet..
I don't have that feeling as much...hopefully you dont either.
Hey, I've actually seen quite a few threads that aren't filled with sniping, lol. Welcome to the forum! I'm a newcomer here as well, and I hope you find what you're looking for.
I'd like to encourage you to do more than search for magic. Magic is not what I'd normally think would give you answers for what you're looking for. It is (definitely in MY opinion) a way of manifesting something, a way of "doing" something. It doesn't (for me, anyway) give me any sense of understanding myself or why I felt trapped or confined or (etc etc).
I worry a bit about people searching out magic as an answer for what might better be answered on a spiritual quest. Magic may (and very likely WILL) end up being a part of what helps you to feel close to the spirit, but without the spiritual trip, it's often hard to believe in our own magic, even if it is quite powerful.
So what I'm trying to say is ... be sure to blend the magic with the spiritual journey. Elsewise, it won't benefit you as strongly.

And as an added aside ... it wasn't until about 1995, when I searched the internet for the meaning of what I suspected to be a nasty word that my son had called me, that I found what my spirit was seeking. The word was "pagan", lol, and in finding that meaning, I found myself finally at home within myself. My search for spiritual answers began that day and was finally making sense to me. So I, for one, think you've found possibly the most exciting tool that exists, for almost any need.
I'd been living in a tiny town that had no book store, and I didn't even know there was such a thing as wicca, let alone BOOKS on it. What is your own spiritual path? Do you have a religion or do you have certain "rules" that you live by, that feel "right" to you?
