This is one common question that we all ask, one word that puzzles even the smartest the even the most brilliant of people can't answer, why? Just one question why? Just plain why yet no one can answer why.

Because that's the way the cookie crumbles! lol
But you are right. 'Why' is an infinite question, so therefore unanswerable.

Why? Because thinking without questioning is like drinking without swallowing. ;)

There are people who can answer why, who can answer why the universe is here. But they just aren't here yet.
But you know, there is a theory which states that if ever for any reason anyone discovers what exactly the Universe is for and why it is here it will instantly disappear and be replaced by something even more bizarre and inexplicable. There is another that states that this has already happened.

Without a why there can't be questions. Without questions there can't be answers. Without answers there can't anything.

When I was very young my father told me that there are only three questions worth answering; Where do we come from? Where are we going? And why?
Nothing's changed much,has it?

Children aged 4yrs or so constantly ask 'why?'. This is because it makes someone talk to them, providing attention and reassurance, as well as providing lengthy stimulating information xD

How true, zebrah! I have seven children (all now adults) and as they were growing-up I learnt something I hadn't realised when I was a child myself. When a child asks a question he/she already knows the answer. They only want confirmation that they are right! (Or wrong!)
