Honey Jar Spells
By:
I have read VARIOUS forms of the honey jar spell. Some simply require you to assemble the jar then let it sit untouched so it could "work it's magic". Others require lighting candles on it, with the amount of times varying from just once upon assembling the jar, to every single day. Some spells state that without hair from all the people involved it will not work, while others state that pictures will do just fine, while others claim all you need is intent and visualization.

My question is, of all of you that have worked a honey jar, which methods did you use and were they successful?

PS I'm well aware what's been written on well known pages, including lucky mojo, so please don't just cite there. I'm looking to see what methods others have used.

I don't know about "magic" honey jars. I believe the magic of honey is the eating of it!

I have used many methods over the years, the first being a few hairs from the target, lit candles 3 times per week, got results within 3 weeks.

I used the picture, candles 3 times per week, results within 6 weeks.

I used no personal effect, just the honey & selected herbs, candles 3 times per week, no visable results.

I also used an apple as the jar, so hollowed that out, put honey, herbs, personal effect all inside, replaced the top of the apple and then planted in a pot with a plant on top. The idea is that the plant gives the apple the energy, instead of candles, worked ok'ish and had mixed results from it, maybe should have went with different type of plant, but still worked.

Honey has been used in healing for centuries. On wounds, especially on ulcers. It has been used, and is still used, in many cosmetic products. It is really a most wonderful substance and food. Cook with it! Eat it! Spread it on wounds and ailments. But, please, don't keep it in a "magic" jar! It deserves much better than that!

Actually the information is half correct and half wrong. In Hoodoo the using of Honey Jars is very popular not only to sweeten or return an ex, but for a nasty boss or court cases. Many ppl have used them and had terrific results. Honey is used for healing yes, therefore it can be used to heal relationships.

Sure honey jars work, but with the right visualisation a basic candle working may do just as well. If you're just starting out, I would stay away from the more aggressive, controlling or dominating magick. You may find it rebounds on you a little more simply because you are new to it and your handling of it is a bit more haphazard/chaotic. Furthermore, if you haven't already developed basic practice of cleansing or purification, or general basic methods of thinking about and dealing with negative energy, you can cause yourself some anxiety about whether you have done things right.

Blessings

Some jar spells do not even require honey.
Its YOU who make magick work, harnessing the energy of your being and that of the tools you use, the elements, the moon, and Earth.
I like jar spells, I think they are a good place to begin for newbies, or at least were for me.
Honey itself is a very powerful thing. Think about the magick of nature involved, how the flowers themselves created pollen, and industrious bees collected it, returned to their hives, created this magick elixir.
Honey is antiseptic, as well, it is good for cuts, acne, minor wounds. Eating some raw honey from your local area can help prevent allergies, sort of like using it as a vaccine, as you get exposed to the pollen's by ingesting them in the raw form.
