Venting out

Just a thread to vent out any frustrations that members may want to share or just to seek advice and spill about the frustrations life throws into us :). Say this happening else where too(I didn't cheat XP) and thought it'd be a nice addition towards DA as well.

This has gone long enough! There are two members (no names, keeping it clean) that, although I understand that negative criticism is a part of the business, this is just ridiculous! I feel like everytime I speak I get a battering ram of negative comments! My self esteem is in terrible condition as it is, and this constant onslaught of harsh criticism is killing me! If I do not see change then I am leaving the coven because this is too much! If I cannot express my ideas openly then I am out!

If I do not see change in three days, then I will not remain here, though I love you all to death, this is too much!

Let me explain to you about growth. We do not grow from everyone complimenting our ideas and telling us not to dig deeper. If you aren't challenged, you will not move to higher levels. It's as simple as that.

You have decided to take criticism and see it as bashing instead of a challenge to push yourself to prove your theories correct or adjust them.
Imagine if no one pushed you as a child to grow, you'd still walk around thinking you could fly like superman or shoot webs like spiderman. You were pushed to grow and CHANGE YOUR IDEAS.

They will continue to change as you continue on with life as well. I assure you I have had some retarded theories in my day and if someone wasn't there telling me to dig deeper, I'd still have them. But I was pushed to grow, and now I continue to push myself to grow.

You might want to consider getting some tougher skin and considering these comments to be a push, not something to keep you down, but to keep you moving forward.

How you CHOOSE to see them is how they will come off. Don't add tone to something that had none.

Listen here kid, giving ultimatums to well seasoned, practiced pagan adults is always an extremely bad idea. You wanna cry about negative comments? I'll fill your box with them. When you get a little older you might learn the distinctive difference between negative comments and constructive criticism. What you have experienced is the latter. What you will experience if you continue being arrogant is a pissed off Pagan with over 20 yrs experience putting you in your place in the most public manner I can find.

You post your ideas with the understanding that not everyone thinks the same way, nor agrees with every tidbit they read. Welcome to the real world. If this proves to be to much to handle then you will easily find the exit exactly where you found your way in.
