Deities

I'm making runes, and it says to invoke a number of deities. This list includes one that I have an affinity with. I have no idea how to figure this out, or even which deities this is limited to. Even just a list of mythologies would help.

I am sorry but I don't know if I understand your question. Do you have a list of different deities to invoke when you make your runes or are you supposed to make a list of deities to invoke?

Why do you need to invoke deities to make a set of runes? Or are you invoking a single rune? Sure, some of the runes, such as Tyr (Teiwaz) are connected but the runes encompass every aspect of nature, within and outwardly. There is no need to identify them with deities. The deities are identified through nature and the runes are identified through nature, therefore they are automatically connected with one another.

What source are you getting this information from?

I've been a using the runes in divination and magick for about 12 years now. One thing is for certain, not all rune books/sources are created equal--some are garbage and some are gold.

Could you give me some advice to getting some runes that are 'gold'. I need 5 runes in particular: the Elemental ones, i.e. water, earth, fire, air, and aether.
