Magick School

I'm thinking about starting a school, (in Australia or somewhere in Europe or the United Kingdom) That teaches children spirituality (without constraint of religion, that would be left up to the parent/s) and other Magickal classes, such as casting, healing, AP, etc.
Of course it would also have the regular classes; Maths, Science, English, LOTE, Sose, History, Geography, Art etc
And a few ectra classes dealing with Nature, growing, harvesting and cooking with your garden etc, as well as dealing with raising animals, breeding etc.

What do you think? This isn't the whole idea, and it would be wonderful if you could add to it :)

Regards,
Amanda.

I think you're going to need a business degree, education degree, licensed teachers, nutritionists, lawyers, insurance and a financial backer that is willing to risk an insane amount of money to potentially be lost. And that's just off the top of my head.

Opening an actual physical school anywhere takes a lot to get it underway as it needs to adhere to laws and such.

I can only write of the United Kingdom. Here it is compulsory for schools to teach a little of all religions. Wicca is a recognised religion here. So it will be "mentioned" in schools. But you can bet it will be with a warning to keep clear of it!
But, as the post above says. To start a school would take a monumental amount of money, and a great deal of experience.

Thanks for your comments :) It would have several 'religions' mentioned they just would not be taught as 'the true path' as some of them claim. :)

Its a lovely idea and I would love it if you could come to Australia only problem is that.... Australia has a strict and annoying school syllabus so you'll have to meet all the requirements and all the spiritual classes will be under optional classes so that means its not going to be compulsory and when there is that option a lot of the students are going to pick the option of going home early rather than being stuck in a class room talking about spirituality I mean I don't want it to be that way but face it -_- the mind of an adolescent , also its not subject electives but it'll be under religious studies and also it might, underlining the word might cause the school to have a bad name/reputation due to narrow minded parents and other speculators.

Sorry all I've done is list a whole load of cons but its something that you need to think about and I'm sure something similar will apply for other countries as well

All the same though great idea -_- I've been dreaming about doing the same but then there is also financial issues etc. *sigh

Instead of a school, become an academy.

You don't have to stick to the national curriculum and won't get hassle from the council/govorment since it is run by the owner of the school.

I was thinking along the same lines of Vramel. A private academy is your best bet. But there is still a huge problem with finances I can not stress enough how much money it takes to simply keep a school running much less begin one. It will take heep loads upon loads...

But I do love the idea of a physical school for spirituality I've always wondered if such a thing exists. Online schools are great and all but a physical one appeals to me a bit more.

I'd also like to mention something about the location and structure of the building(s) you use for the school. Safety for your students is a top priority, so security, and a strong private building (probably gated in completely) should be considered.
People sometimes act violenty towards "WITCHES!".
