Now, i would like to ask you, Magicans, a question.
What do you think of movie containing wicca and witchcraft, like Harry Potter? Is it ''fake'' to your eyes? Is watching Harry Potter can motivate us to be more interested in doing magic?
Thx :)
Most movies about magic are hollywood entertainment, like most movies. But the main cause of people looking to join the magical community is these kinds of shows, though we must teach them quickly that this stuff is fiction, solely for entertainment.
those type of movies can motivate people to become interested in magick but they think magick is something that is not what is actually is.but when they enter the world of magick because of these movies we will teach them what is right and what is wrong and then if they want to continue after they find out what magick really is the can.
family and friends also plays a big part in the desicion of practicing magick
Harry Potter is just a fake, none of that stuff is true at all. If they made Harry Potter more like the why some of us do Witchcraft than it won't be a high seller. They made the movies that way so it would sell, even if it means lying about witchcraft that they know nothing about.
Movies are here to entertain us, nothing more nothing less. If someone does think everything in the movie is true then they're a dumb butt that needs to grow up. Of course some movies do show things right, but those are few of the many false ones.
Harry Potter did honestly enspire me to start researching about magick. I thought I would be able to do all that stuff they do in the movies. But after a while doing magick, I realized that it's all really obviously fake. It's kind of funny to think about now.

I enjoy watching movies such as Air Bender, The Sorcerors Apprentice, The Craft, etc because many capture to a degree the astral side of magick--what is going on around us through energy that only some can see. To be able to see someone cast a circle that lights up with energy, create wind out of no where, it gives people learning the craft something to base their visualizations on. But it is, for me, just a source of entertainment. And most of the actual information is blown out of proportion or fabricated completely. But in a way, for a moment, to forget about the rigid laws of the physical lives we live and mentally step into the fantasy world of the movie, it's a nice vacation.
I don't like Harry Potter, not the books, not the movies. I don't see how the writer became so famous. There are far better books and movies out there.
J. K. Rowling is actually a slightly talented author, just she writes fiction and some people have trouble recognizing that. I like her books as entertainment but not instruction.
