I've been practicing magick since 1982. I served as a 3rd degree elder in a coven that existed for 5 years in Virginia Beach, Va. It was an eclectic teaching coven which at one point had over 20 members...everyone from a retired SEAL to young children who were the offspring of the coven members. The coven broke up due to the normal thing that happens in a military town... the High Priestess' husband had a change in duty station. I was actually briefly ordained but when the coven was disbanded, I lost my ordination. I performed one legal handfasting and one polyhandfasting which is somehow not considered legal in the state of Virginia.
Anyways, I've been solitary for about 14 years now. I've had one of my cats take down my circles if I leave them up too long. (Honestly, he did.. the cat went to the four points and meowed... in reverse order. There were four other human witnesses.)
I have fallen out of my studies and practice due to some rather nasty life changes (divorce, major move, diagnosed with severe anxiety issues). I've blocked myself off from so much of life and magick. I'm trying to get back more social and just want to learn more (as you never stop learning! I learned more when I was teaching than I did when I was a student. Figure that out.)
Hello, It's nice to meet you. I understand the anxiety issues, I have chronic anxiety. I have found meditation is very help full, but one must do it when you feel an attach coming. if not it's useless at the time. how ever my nightly medicating has dropped my attacks to half of what they once were. I had to put a block up around me, and in doing that lost touch with my natural energies. i am slowly taking down my wall, so that i may enjoy life again. I have found some weeds with little blue flowers on them, seeped in water, for about an hour than drank, helps. they act as a natural mood stabilizer. I feel your pain and wish you luck.
Hello, welcome and of course, Merry Meet!
If I may state, I have studied the Magickal Arts for 7+ years and I still consider myself just a student. My magickal journey is just awesome. I have read, and studied much, (practiced some, OK, a little lazy! Geez!) and, there is so much more to study and learn.
I feel for you in your bad trip anxiety. I hope you can be a happy camper soon.
Merry Part!
Blessed Be, a paradise for you now, here on this good earth.
i had mentioned a flower before and didn't have my book with me,but now i can give you its name and you can research it for your self. i found it to work wonders. its name is Chicory, and look at Bach Flower Remedies, " the essence of this flower add to a few drops of tea will help those who are on a crying jag, or unduly possessive and overcritical" . it is very helpful
