really? sweet dude thank you. ok how do i deal with my mother constatly calling me a devil worshiper when it is not true. she will do this in a crowde3d store too. btw i am 24 and in no position to move. we have never had a good relstionship, and ever since i came back it has only gotten worse. searching my room and i have Never had any trouble with the law, unlike my brother. any tips? thank you so much
So, I was sitting with my brothers and my Grandmother at the dinner table and my brother Alex suggested that we should all pray. Well, my family is Christian and I'm Wiccan, so that doesn't work out so much. So what I did was, I just laid my hands on the table while everyone else was praying and my brothers got mad. So they were praying and it's the same prayer the pray every time. It also hurts my feelings when they pray because it's disrespectful to me and how I feel about their God, because I hate the Christian God and their shoving it in my face. So I flicked my brother who was praying behind the ear. I probably shouldn't have done that but, it sounded funny at the time because I was a bit hyper and tired of them praying. So then one my brother's looks at me and I can tell he's mad. I looked back and told him that's right I'm going to hell because I believe in science very sarcastically. He told me, that's right you are. Evolution has always been my cover to keep my family from finding out I'm Wiccan and it really hasn't worked so far but, it always drags the conversation away from Wicca. Anyway, when they pray or talk about the Christian God it hurts my feelings because I grew up in a family until my parents divorced and my dad moved out where, you could hit, or beat, or yell at your kids as much as you want because it's God's will and it's ok with God because The Bible says "Spare the rod, spoil the child" and people always wonder why I hate Christianity.
Birdlover101 you should lie to your family just pretend your a christian to them and when you pray think of another god your sending your message to :) that's what lies are for
terrahurts, im going to have to disagree on the lie to the family thing. i think you should educate them on wicca. does this work all the time? no. i wont say it does but it's better than them finding out some other way. as a wiccan myself in a christian society i can say tht educating is better than avoiding or lying. lying is a horrible way to hide something and prayin to a God you dont believe in while thinkin of another one is disrespecting your family's religion. lying will end up bringing trouble in the long run because eventually the stories wont add up or they'll change.
I will also have to disagree with lying. You must repect others and what they believe in or elnse your no better then them. I do not agree with the ear flicking either. When it comes to their god, leave them be. They will learn the worlds truths oneday.
I know this situation personally. My grandparents work for a church. I do not pray or attend, but it is their choice to have, not mine. you can not hide what you are, but fight for it. Fight for your own god. stand up to them, but not with violence.
