Does anyone here know the show true blood? If so are the spells that the witches use real?

I have seen the show, and they are not 'real' spells. Although technically you can make any piece of nonsense into a spell if you want. Pretty much all the magic in TV shows and film has little or no basis in reality. It's meant for entertainment, not instruction :)

i haven't seen the show either, but i highly doubt they are real. i know of some 'spells' that are nothing more than a recipe [for a salad or a smoothie for instance] and you add to it a chant, those are spells if the ingredient for the food all fall under, say, love and that's what you wish to work, but i'm guessing true blood witches get dragons blood and eye of newt in a cauldron and say it's an invisibility potion, no. won't happen.

My partner watches that on HBO, he loves it and he is not a Wiccan. He wanted me to watch it and see if they are Wiccan. Well, they aren't anything I've ever seen but Hoodoo, Voodoo, and Santorians may do it that way.
