wiccan history?

i am in need of a teacher/mentor to help me understand the wiccan history. i have look all over and cannot find anything that really helps me. can anyone help? thank you!

I'm fairly certain it was formed in the 1950's by Gerald Garner. It holds a lot in common with western ceremonial magic from what i've read. Perhaps study the traditions it was based on.

You can find a fairly good amount of Wiccan History on the site, but if you want you can PM me with your questions regarding it and I'd be glad to answer what I know.
