Phol and Wodan rode into the woods, There Balder's foal sprained its foot. It was charmed by Sinthgunt, her sister Sunna; It was charmed by Frija, her sister Volla; It was charmed by Wodan, as he well knew how: Bone-sprain, like blood-sprain, Like limb-sprain: Bone to bone; blood to blood; Limb to limb -- like they were glued.
Therefore when we are physically injured take a black cord, while making 7 knots and tying the cord around the injury we should murmur:
Baldur rade,
The foal slade,
He lighted and he righted,
He set joint to joint, bone to bone, sinew to sinew
Heal in Odin's name.
OR simply
Bone to bone
Blood to blood
Sinew to sinew
As though they were glued.
I usually trace a healing rune such as berkana or one of my personal bindrunes over the injury and invoke it.
In all healing spells, we should never rush. The longer we take and the more energy put into it, the better the results. I also like using this and other chants while rubbing oil into the area. As the oil absorbs, so does the energy. The tying of the cord is best for cuts, sprains and breaks. I use the oil for bruises, muscle pulls, or scraps.
