I recently had the opportunity (and took it) to move to Nashville, TN. I am learning there is a great culture to study here, a lot more opportunity then where I came from to learn about magic, and new age beliefs.
My first thought of course was, "I'm moving to the bible belt, time to get use to the praise jesus's and all that talk" but from the people I've met and the stores I've seen, people are very open minded to the idea of other beliefs. I have discovered several metaphysical/occult stores in the city. I have not ventured into any of these yet because I am still settling in but once I do I am definitely going to check some things out.
I am always open to learning as much as I can about what I do not understand. I think that the south in general is going to have some great history as far as these ancient beliefs go, with New Orleans being relatively close by I have that voodoo style beliefs, I was told there's a lot of 'paranormal' things to learn about since Nashville and many of it's smaller parts have a lot of history.
I guess I don't have anything really worth sparking a long conversation here, I just wanted to share, and to tell you all to never stop learning. No matter where you go you can always ask questions and hunt out interesting sights.
P.S. If anyone lives down in this area, let me know some great places I will have to visit.
No need to apologize it may have been the way I worded it all that made me seem new. I love to study magic and the beliefs behind it all I am not entirely convinced in certain, maybe most, magic.
But I do believe in the paranormal, mental abilities, stuff that can be documented and studied. But I try to keep an open mind to everything, and that is what brought me to the site originally, and since then I've met great people on here, as well as had some great/intelligent conversations and debates with people.
I can detect ghosts. I found two in my house. I figured out their age range, background, place of haunting, a bit of history through a dream I had, and personal experience with the one that haunts our bathroom. I figured it out before it got confirmed by our landlord who used to live there. That kind of paranormal?
Yeah exactly that kind of paranormal, stuff that can be experienced. There's a lot of places down here in Nashville, a lot surrounding the time of plantations and civil wars, old slave houses and battlegrounds are known to be very haunted.
I live in Montana. My mom calls it witch state. Every house I've been to has been haunted. My old house I had a vanity and a demon or a ghost was in the mirror. Ghosts are crawling everywhere in Montana. Even deaths because of dangerous ghosts.
