Magickal Wards

LESSON 1

This is lesson one of my ward casting thread. I am going start by saying in my opinion wards are one of the most important enchantments to place on your home. Wards can protect you from harmful people's will, evil spirits, and negative energy. When I cast a ward I first think of the architecture of the home. I note every window, door, fences around the home, etc. I use this knowledge to design my wards. I place minor wards on each entry to the house and I place minor wards around my fence. Creating a design is one of the most difficult parts of casting a ward.

Homework: Walk around your home today and note each window, fence, gate, door, etc. Think about how you will place wards on each of these. Figure out how you are going to energize your wards. Think of the grand design you are going to place over your entire home.

LESSON 2

Now that you have each entry way in mind you need a smudge wand of sage, or your regular wand, or a finger, or.... you get my point. So I want you to trace a pentacle around the entry way. Pour your will into the shape, knowing that it will work no matter what. Do not doubt yourself. Add some of the energy of your body to the pentacle and then offer up a prayer of protection to your patron deity. Mine is the Almighty himself. Feel the light of divinity flowing through you and into your wards. See with your minds eye that the wards have become bright blue shields. Do this for each window and door. Once all your minor wards are in place say this spell out loud feeling it with your will and your power.

These wards I cast
Shall forever last
And shall make evil flee
This spell is done
So mote it be

Homework: Perform what we have learned today. If you cannot SEE what you are casting it is perfectly normal. You third eye just needs to open up a bit. Cast the wards like I have taught today. My next lesson will be on creating the Great Ward of your home.

LESSON THREE

Now is the final moment when all your lesser wards will be connected and form the great ward on your home. Take your wand, finger, or athame and connect all the minor wards by tracing a line from the center of each one. Then take the line and bring it to a piece of quartz. Store the energy into the quartz and charge it with your intent and energy. Know that in that crystal is the heart of your home's protection. Put the quartz some where safe in the heart of your home. It is done. Know that there is now a giant blue dome of energy over your home.

I have a quick question - if you are godless i.e. you don't believe in any god, but you do believe there is something greater than you, how do you use that in the ward building?

If you are godless then call upon your faith. What ever you have faith in will give your wards the spiritual charging that they need. I personally pray to God but others could pray to the God/Goddess, Satan, Thor, etc. If you belief there is something greater than yourself than call upon that force to protect you. Say a prayer like this:
Oh mighty one
Whoever thou might be
Give me your blessing
and your protection
and be with me while
I cast these wards.

I see, thank you ^_^ This was helpful. I get a bit confused with prayers as I have never really made any in my life, so when tasked to do so it gets a little bit awkward.
