Does this sound odd?

Ok,istarted practiceing magick through wicca(like a lot of people i'm sure)but i don't prcatice wicca anymore,but i want to start celebrating moon phases agian,do other non-wiccans on here do this? the full and new moon just seem special to me even if i don't do it for a particular deity.

Who says you have to be like everyone else? If you want to celebrate the moon phases you ought to whether others do or not.

Who cares if it's odd? Not saying I think it is, just saying who cares anyway? If it feels right to you, do it. I'm not Wiccan either but I still feel like the full moon is a good time for spellwork. I also dye eggs on the spring equinox, light candles for my passed relatives at Halloween and give my kids gifts on the winter solstice. So yeah, if it feels right, do it. :)

The phases of the moon, especially the full moon, has been honored throughout the ages over the whole world. The years were not always solar, they were once lunar and each month was a passing moon phase. Certain full moons were very special (based off of their time of the year) and celebrations/ritual took place around them.

Wicca does not rule the world of magick. There are more paths than you could ever imagine. And I haven't found one that doesn't honor the moon in some way.
