You don't need a teacher or mentor in Magick. Magick is learnt in his/her own way. You don't need any mentors or anything in Magick. I prefer self study is the best study. There are a lot of Articles, forums and a live chat to solve your grave doubts. Self study helps you in learning the twice the knowledge than others as you may understand in your own perception.

I am quite new to this "organized" Magick. But from what I have read and understand from it, it is not something you learn. It is something within yourself. No one can teach you to feel, you either do or you do not. You either feel the energy inside you or you do not. That is not a learned something. It is within you. I may be out of line, but I believe you should search inside you before seeking outside assistance. Somewhere within your heart and soul you will find what you need.

you are correct Viralusion, this path is so personal, and the divine is found within ourselves. as Witches, you need to take responsibility, this is a rather solitary path. granted, sometimes you get stuck, and there's nothing wrong with asking for help. myself, when people come to me asking questions, depending on the question [say if they ask what an Athame is] i'll give them a detailed answer. if they ask me to teach them something big [like the history of Wicca] then i'll provide them with some books and links to websites. basically, i point them in the right direction. you think, the whole give a man a fish vs teaching a man to fish sort of thing. as Witches [Wiccans/Pagans] so much of our belief is the pursuit of knowledge, you cannot rely on others, so we don't mind helping, but most don't like teaching for a bunch of reasons.
