I'm either weird or something because I think I can tell when it'll rain by looking at trees? Does anyone know why?

"when the leaves are turned inside out it'll rain" that's what my great gram use to say, and it's true. you can see the veins of the leaves when it's about to rain [normally because the wind picked up] you can also look at the clouds, if there's "enough blue sky to make a sailor a pair of pants" it probably won't rain. there's another one about clouds being shapes like fish scales, but i don't know that one.

point is there are ways you can tell the weather without checking your phone app. commonly you can smell or feel rain in the air or in your bones. there's plenty of old ways of telling the weather, works really well, you just have to be observant really.

In my area, I see the leaves turn over before a storm. It's part of why the air looks green.

Not weird in the least! You're just paying attention.

its not weird, weird is knowing it will rain cause you can hear thunder and see lightening before the sky clouds up or before the leaves turn inside out. I've heard that the one about clouds looking like fish scales is cause the sea has been drained and the fish are swimming in the deep blue of the sky. That's just what I've heard but I'm not sure if that's really what the fish scale clouds really means just thought I'd share what I'd heard

It isnt wierd. when its cloudy overhead, and i gently concentrate, I can usually "feel" an estimation of time for when the storm will hit, and how strong it will be.
