Okay, I'm new to this site but I didn't know where else to turn because I don't know anyone else that's experienced in witchcraft. I'm sorry if this is in the wrong place or whatever, but I really need to know what this means.
I was doing a spell on this boy that I've been in love with for months. A spell that I was hoping would make him fall in love with me. I wrote out the chant I was going to do and a letter that I was going to burn with a pink candle (I don't have a red one). I went on a walk before the ceremony, and along the way I apparently dropped the chant and letter somehow. I improvised when I got back to my garage (where the ceremony was to be held) and frantically began searching all around my house and yard for the letter and chant. It was nowhere to be found, so I looked through the boxes in my garage for something to write on. I found a TLC album with the song "Baby Baby Baby" on it - and this is really strange because earlier today I was listening to that song for the first time in a long time and joked to my friend that I'd send the song to the boy I like, to profess my love for him - so I tore the lyric sheet out and burned it with the flame of the candle. While it burned and after it turned to ash, I repeated a chant that I made up, which included lyrics to the song "Transmission" by Joy Division because he told me that this reminded him of us, and also a few personal things. I asked in the spell for him to fall in love with me at midnight tonight.
But the strange thing that happened was that after the lyric sheet had turned to ash (partially anyway - 2/3 of it is still in tact), the flame started to fizz and make strange noises, and then slowly burned out completely.
I have no idea what this means and I'm really scared and confused. Does anyone know what this means.
P.S. My friend did a similar spell tonight as well and it worked.

It could have been something in the paper it's self that made it do that. It also could have been something with the candle. I had one once that did something like that.
like Sue said, it could of been the paper, or something in the candle. if you want to go with a more magical meaning though, the sparks means the relationship won't be a smooth one, and the flame going out means it's not meant to be. so the spell might work, but it won't be a great relationship and it will end badly. i know that sounds hurtful, but casting over another tends to end this way.
