If you are having trouble with spell casting, I would recommend reading over and studying the basics. These include but are not limited to: visualization, meditation, grounding, centering, shielding, correspondences, general energy flow/control, etc.

Sinix has a nice thread here in the forums called Beginner's Guide that you may want to take a look at. Newbie Central, Tips, and Faqs (located on the Home tab) would also be helpful to you as would some of the featured articles (under the articles tab) and the Starting Out thread in the general infroamtion board of the public forums.

I've the same ability

Anyway for spells:

Tips

  • Sometimes it helps to forget about the spell so that you arent having second thoughts about the spells effectiveness.
  • You need to believe your spells are going to work. If you dont believe, how can you achieve?
  • Use your resources. The more you practice and do the basics, the more effective your spell will be.
  • Put all of your emotion into the spell while visualizing the outcome you desire.

Why Spells Fail

  • You dont believe you are able to cast the spell
  • You dont believe the spell will work
  • You havent practiced the basics enough
  • You didnt put quality effort into the spell
  • The spell was never able to work (It was a fluffy spell)

this is just a general knowledge statement but I believe that when a spell has the phrase "So Mote It Be" in it, it is actually meaning "I Will This Spell To Be True" which basically means that your saying that you believe that this spell is going to work, therefore if you do not believe that it will work, it will not work.
