Werewolves and Spells

Im interested in learning more about werewolves and werewolf related magic. Is it a curse, hex, spell? I've been believing that I myself was a werewolf that couldn't turn into my wolf form but I may be a Therianthrope, I think thats the right word. Anyhow I would just like to learn more, if lycanthropy is a spell or some such, could it be improperly cast? Could it leave someone with traits of a regular werewolf? Please I would like to know this. If there are any REAL werewolves here that can answer these questions I would be much obliged

Werewolves = Fictional
Therians = Factual

Spells cannot make you either, werewolves being fictional and therians being a form of identity.

And someone else classified me as a Therian so bit of confusion on that subject.

while there are those who feel they have an animal spirit or a strong connection with a particular animal [Therianthrope] no one can physically shape shift into said animal. you were born a human and that's it. 'real werewolves' [again, Therianthrope] are spiritual, not the mythological beasts from fantasy.

i have been told werewolves are astral beings. if this is true, you could try calling upon them in your spells and rituals for energy, much the same way one would call upon a deity. plus our society makes stuff for everything, so you could get a werewolf tarot, werewolf goblets, candles, and many other things to decorate your altar with. if your animal isn't a wolf, then go with whatever creature you're connected with.
