Reincarnation vs. afterli

Reincarnation vs. an afterlife in heaven, hell, promised land and whatnot.

Personally the concept of reincarnation seems more plausible to me than the souls of all creatures to ever have existed existing in the same place, even if the concepts of time and place don't apply...

That's my opinion, but I would like to hear what others here have to say about it, their opinions,etc...

I'm an avid believer of reincarnation, it goes hand-in-hand with all my spiritual beliefs. I believe the soul goes through many lives to add to it's experience and age; and the ultimate purpose of our lives is to build enough experience and age that we can exit the circle of death and reincarnation and ascend the seven realms of existence. The physical realm being at the bottom of these seven.

Would you by chance be familiar with the concept of nirvana, as I understand it, you live through an endless cycle of death and rebirth until you achieve "perfection" and you slip out of the cycle and into a state of nothingness(i.e. "nirvana"). I must say though that I prefer your view of ascending through the various planes rather than slipping into nonexistance...

I believe that nothing in this Universe is wasted. Science tells us nothing is truely destroyed, it merely changes its state of being. I think thats what happens to all living creatures. We're recycled. We go from one state of being to another as easily as changing a garment. The old wornout shell we once inhabited becomes nourishment for a new generation of worms also entering the Circle of Life and Death.

I too, believe in reincarnation. And in Summerland. As we die, rest there, and get reincarnated again, and so on the same thing all over again. And seven dimensions? I never heard about that before. But when we all finish our journey through the cycle of Death and life, we'll all be experienced and be able to understand each other. But I don't think that means we're all going to be perfect. And after that, we may be able to go to those dimensions, or become part of the Mysterious Universe, or even something else. We'll have to see and find out once we complete this.

I share your view about the lack of perfection; after all, perfection or the illusion of it results in an inability to grow, wich leads to conformity and stagnation...

It is the sum of our flaws that makes us who we are.

hi
i am not one for reincarnation per-se for i cannot see why nature would grant a life gain experiances die wait a while be re-born again be total oblivious to the past life already lived to be repeat over and over when to solve this all nature had to do was give us very long lives this brings me to evolution half a million years man stumbled out of the caves thick set powerful but of limited knowledge but over time man evolved to were we are now written history only goes back about 7 thousand years scientist claim the world populations was founded from about ten of these early cavemen and seeing as nature tends to move in cycles i believe at some point in our future we will dispense with first the limbs of the body as the mind uses telekinises to move things and other mind powers replace physical ones as we become more evolved we will probally reduce in number until finally a ulitmate human is reached who has 100% brain function we use about 10% at present probally a being of energy not organic and can relive the lives of the 1st to the last human so i see life as a baton we each carry generation to generaton improving and evolving with each life lap until cycle is complete

Greymagi. I think that we die and reborn for the past thousand years is because, One Life is too much. I mean, we have to experience war, pain, happiness, loss, etc and we have EMOTIONS!! Our emotions would take over us and we would just go insane/crazy and would try to kill us. Thats why I believe we have to have life's as in die and reborn again, die and then again. We have subconious (sp?)so we don't have to remember pain in our other life's.
