Describe your Spellbook

Let us broaden our creativity by sharing.

Mine is an extra-large, completely blank, black sketchbook.
Its purpose is to remind me of my unique power, thus it contains more than spells and methods.

I include:
prose I've written to remind me of my logic and style.
short stories from my life to remember what events made me.
drawings of what I find intriguing and beautiful.
my ancestral tree.
writings of better magicians.
and of course mantras, spells and methods

My spell book is a well organized three ring binder. The outside I have decoupaged a bunch of different stuff such as symbols, images and drawings. The inside I have spells, rituals, recipes and handy information ready to go. I also have a separate notebook inside that I call my book of mirrors, a journal that I keep daily. When I am performing spell casting or rituals, I can use the three ring binder to remove and organize what I need so I am not flipping through the pages.

My Book of Shadows is black leatherbound. I have the calling of the circle and elements, on the Introduction page. And the pages are full of spells, potions, and rituals. And I saved the last page for a Glossary. So if I need a certain spell, I look it up in the Glossary. And flip the page.

I have a red college rule notebook that started out as a personal journal but soon became used solely for magical purposes. There is no organisation and looseleaf papers jut out everywhere. I'll be needing a new one soon.

I also still starting out with mine :)

Black Moleskine sketchbook that I'm trying to keep organised by topic... Chakras/mediation, herbs and their uses, moon phases and their meanings/powers, mantras, spells, tracking results of spells... And of course the corresponding illustrations and symbols to go with the topics.

Do you mean "Book of Shadows"?
Most people like to keep that kind of thing to themselves I know I do. That is something that is very personal to most.

we are not posting pictures or getting into content, it is purely about ideas of what helps.
most people don't feel ideas are personal.

to clarify, not every practitioner considers their spellbook a book of shadows.
When I gather deep into mtn canyons I use my spellbook to keep the wild plants pressed/organized. another idea, far less personal than sharing a spell or mantra.
Some of us don't work in the shadows. I work by moonlight.
