Spell Casting with a Wand

Have a look at this link:

It's a page specifically dealing with wand casting with very specific instruction on exactly how a wand should be used. What do you make of it? If I were younger, I'd love to memorize it all but I feel I'd have difficulty with that now.

In all honesty, I do not think that the chart would be very useful, although I have not tried the methods described so I cannot say so for sure. However, a wand is simply a tool used to help direct energy. Memorizing complicated patterns for spell casting seems to me like it would just end up with a lot of energy anywhere but where you intended it to be. Unless each movement within the chart strongly represented something to you and helped you further visualize your goal, it might just confuse you and break your concentration when you were casting the spell.
