It is up to you and how you prefer to do your spells. Not all spells require casting circles. To do a spell without actually using anything you need to visualize.
I take it your new so I must ask Have you learned all the basics? If not I would not recommend casting any spell period until you have. Not just look them over I mean honestly learn them. I have lots of links on my profile feel free to check them out.
Here is a list of the Basics
The basics Tools,Meditation, Visualization, Focus, Moon Phases, Colors, Days, grounding and centering, power flow, Elements, Circle Casting, Charkas
thank you.so here, once I did learn about witchcraft, and I think I've become a witch (I say this because in the morning when I wake up I feel like there's a new one) and then I tried a few spells and it does not work. one time I've tried to call the rain, after 2-3 hours it worked. since then I never use any spell (maybe 1 year) so how is my problem? Can you help me? great honor if you help me
Ingredients help to focus on a spell more and not constitute the major part of a spell.Spells can be casted with less to no ingredients.A spell is simply like a prayer, where you put your will and intention into action and wait for them to take affect. All you need is a strong will,well-set and firm intention and focus or concentration.Practising the 'basics',is a key to successful spell casting :)
thanks apostle its very helping. now how about tools and altar? did we really need them? i heard that tools need to be blessed, can i blessed that by myself?
As i mentioned above about ingredients, the same applies for tools. They too are not mandatory. Also, there are alternatives which you can use to substitute a tool if you don't have a certain one.For instance,if you do not own a wand, you may use your index finger for the same purpose. As wands are used for directing energy, your index finger also serves the same.Likewise, you may use a small table or any raised surface as an altar. If you look around your home, you will find at least one alternative for each tool :D
Yes,you may bless your tools for purity and getting them rid of any negative energies.Blessing, also called 'consecrating' can be done with a number of ways. You may prepare a spell and burn a candle and pass the tool above the smoke.
Here is a consecrating technique-
