which truth spell are you talking about. there are more than one.

cast it just like you would a normal spell, cast your circle, say the spell like you would focusing on the person you want to tell the truth, close your circle, there your done. You might want to add candles or incense to make your spell stronger but those aren't necessary. How well the spell works is in you.

Some witches like to cast a circle before every working. I try to. It clears the energy in my space and helps me focus.

Each witch practices differently and yes I cast a circle before performing small spells, large spells, and rituals. I'm kinda of like Ningyou it gets me in the mindframe I need to be in to perform magick. I also feel it gives me energy as well as protection because you never know when a spell can go wrong. Its a personal choice and its how someone once taught me.

how do you cast a circle?

There's a lot of ways to do it. I like to use the Lesser Banishing Ritual of the Pentagram to set up my circle. Other Witches use quarter calls (I believe?) and some make a circle of salt in their space. It's a personal thing, I think.
