I figured I would start a thread where we can detail some of our favored ways to meditate or things to do while meditating. Ill post one to start and will try to post more later.

Energy Manipulation Meditation-
Assume your favorite meditation position and let your mind become relaxed till your thoughts are still. Find your inner energy (I use the chakra located at the heart most of the time but sometimes I use the lumbar chakra as well, it really doesnt matter though so use what you like) when you find this slowly breath in visualizing your aura or outer energy begin to move towards your inner energy. when you feel as though your inner and outer energy are overlaped (or you just cant breath in anymore) breath out slowly pushing your outer and inner energy outward. at its farthest point breath in and move the inner and outer enrgy back withen yourself. repeat this pushing your energy farther each time you breath out. when done just feel your energy slowly return to its natural position. try to challenge yourself to keep pushing your energy farther and soon it will seem much easier to manipulate your own energy.

I often do the above meditation before I do most of my spells or rituals as it often aids in relaxing my mind and readying my energy. It acts like a warm up before exercise.

Nature Meditation (with a focus on elemental energy)

This one is best done outside near a source of water during the daytime.

Assume your favorite meditation position and let your mind relax till your thoughts are still. Let your focus drift downward into the earth around you. feel the earth pulsate with energy. feel that energy moving into you and steadying you. Feel yourself become one with the earth. Now take that one step farther, feel the heat of the sun beating down on you. Feel the inner heat within every living thing nearby. Feel Water(either near the source or in the earth itself) norish life all around you. Last let your focus drift to feeling the air carrying vital gases to life. Feel all these things come together and the connections that form between them.
This meditation is more about feeling nature and how its all connected. If you get skilled at this meditation it becomes easier to draw and utilize energy from each of theses sources. For instance when I am sparing with someone I sometimes allow my self to feel the steadying energy of the earth while on the defence.
